We’re well on our way to honoring two MTNA Foundation Fellows this year. $1000 has already been raised for Dr. Robert Shultz, and we’re now in the midst of our campaign for Diane Smith!

The State Auditions for IMTA will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Wartburg College in Waverly. Be sure to check the auditions website for more information, including information about local auditions in your area!
The registration form for the IMTA-West Scholarship is now online. This year’s deadline for applications is May 16, 2014, and the competition will take place at our state conference at Drake University. See you there!
The MTNA Competitions page has been updated with dates and location for the 2014 competition. Happy practicing, and we’ll see you in Waverly next November!

The state MTNA performance competitions took place this past weekend at Central College in Pella, IA. The results are in and can be viewed on the competitions results page.
Special thanks goes to Diane Smith and the competition committee for organizing the event, and to Dr. Paul Kovacovic and Central College for hosting our competitions.
We also want to thank all the competitors and their parents and teachers. The MTNA Competitions are highly regarded in the music community. Participating at this level requires a rare level of dedication, hard work, and talent. We at IMTA are very proud of the level of musicianship in our state, and we wish all of you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
The West Central Divisional Competitions will be hosted at Drake University in Des Moines, IA on January 10-12, 2014. All MTNA performance competitions are open to the public, and we hope to see you there!
